After hiring his new valet Passepartout, the meticulously punctual Phileas Fogg bets his entire fortune at the Reform Club that he can travel around the world in eighty days. As Fogg abruptly sets off on his journey, a Scotland Yard detective notices a connection between the sudden departure and a massive bank robbery, casting immediate suspicion on the traveler.

As Phileas Fogg's global journey reaches the port of Suez, Detective Fix waits in anticipation, convinced that the punctual traveler is actually a bank robber in disguise. When the necessary arrest warrant fails to arrive in time, Fix decides to board the steamship himself, turning the official pursuit into a personal chase across oceans and continents.

When their train grinds to an unexpected halt due to unfinished tracks, Phileas Fogg and Passepartout are forced to purchase an elephant to navigate the dense Indian wilderness. As they journey through the thick forest, their detour takes a mysterious turn when they encounter an approaching procession deep within the jungle.

Confronted by a deadly ritual in the jungle, Phileas Fogg and Passepartout attempt a dangerous rescue to save a young widow from the pyre. Through Passepartout's daring deception, the woman escapes her fate and joins their globe-trotting journey as time continues to tick away.
