Home, Sweet and Wise Home follows Pepo, a fat and whiny louse who has lived on a thousand heads and liked none. When Fatima's mom remembers the lice remover, Pepo escapes from his head, hides in a pencil case, and ends up traveling to a fourth-grade classroom. There, he evaluates heads like searching for an apartment, until an eraser sends him flying and he gets trapped between the pages of a huge dictionary. Locked in darkness, he discovers that printed words become real things: a candle that lights up, food on the blood page, a bed, an elevator, an entire mansion.
