After a bus kills him, Ren wakes in a fantasy world and decides he must be its hero. His first scheme is to collect a bounty on Sable, the bandit who just saved his life. She sees the betrayal coming and kills him. Ren wakes again in an Earth morgue, remembering everything. Now every death sends him between two worlds. Ren sees a chance to turn that strange gift into money and status, but neither world waits for him. Each time he returns, Sable has changed, and the consequences of his last visit are still there. One More Life is a darkly funny fantasy adventure about a man who can escape almost anything—except what he’s done to other people.
