Takeshi: Kemono No Michi follows Takeshi Yamanaka, a twenty-five-year-old with no family who volunteers for a state experiment because the only other option is starving. The injection turns him into a manticore — wings, claws, and a body that stops answering to him — and the scientist who did it smuggles him out of the city with a handful of antidote vials and a warning: if anyone learns he survived, they will never stop hunting him. Robbed of the vials within hours, Takeshi finds a forest full of others like him and shelter in a hidden village where one slip would expose them all. A dark sci-fi creature story about a man fighting to stay human while the thing inside him keeps taking ground.
