A narrator-driven gothic romance set in the late 1890s of Southern Spain. Miguel Cervantez — a centuries-old Spanish werewolf lord — agrees to marry Nia, a twenty-one-year-old half-vampire, half-human woman, in a political arrangement meant to be a quiet transaction. He falls genuinely in love with her, only to find his estranged brother, The Guild of Wolves, and a neighbor with a vendetta all closing in. What was supposed to be a bloodless deal becomes the center of a supernatural power struggle — and a clause buried in the marriage's terms, one Nia was never told, threatens to undo them both.
