The Last Guardian
Fantasy
2 Episodes
The Last Guardian opens on the Guardian Plateau, where young Guardians and Valkyries train to fly and fight side by side under Queen Namiele, and where a quiet boy named De'Onte masters everything far too fast and shows almost none of it. Artoria, the Valkyrie queen's daughter, can't stop watching him. Far above them, in an obsidian war chamber, Queen Seraphyne's generals have tracked the Guardians for millennia and decided the peace between the two peoples was never agreement — only mercy. Seraphyne orders the first Guardian outpost burned from the sky and warns her daughter she will soon have to choose between what she feels and what she owes. Then an entire galaxy is erased with no warning and no survivors, and Namiele answers the only way she can: she goes out alone into dead space and spends her own life restoring what was taken, coming apart into light as the stars reignite behind her. Her son D'Ante inherits a crown and a kingdom missing its strongest defender, De'Onte is left holding the truth she told him about what he carries, and across the cliffs Seraphyne feels the balance tip and declares the age of equals over.
