Black Dahlia is a 20-episode true crime series about the unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short in 1947 Los Angeles. Each episode follows a key piece of the case: the body, the missing days, the press frenzy, the killer’s messages, and the suspects. The series explores how the LAPD, FBI, newspapers, and decades of investigators tried — and failed — to identify the killer. From the vacant lot on Norton Avenue to the locked LAPD cold-case file, the story reveals why this case never disappeared. Seventy-eight years later, Elizabeth Short’s murder remains one of America’s most haunting open investigations.
