Cammy performs at midnight under pink neon to a feed of tips and chat, and one of her viewers — Ryan, isolated and living almost entirely through his monitor — has convinced himself that what passes between them is real. When she goes cold and posts a cryptic 'boundaries' stream warning that viewers mistake performance for love while teasing that she sometimes wonders what would happen if someone 'really saw' her, Ryan reads it as a coded invitation meant for him. He hunts her down through the digital breadcrumbs in her own content and drives out to a rotting house in the rain, certain he is the one she has been waiting for. What he can't see is that he is walking into the trap a supernatural predator has set again and again — a creature that lures obsessive men to their deaths and quietly resets the cycle with the next lonely viewer who types that he's different from all the others.
